If you landed on this review, you probably are just starting out in the world of guitars. The Epiphone PR-4E is one of the best options for people that never touched an electric-acoustic guitar before. We consider this guitar to be a great option, and because of that, it earned its spot on our best Epiphone acoustic guitars list.

The PR-4E package is great for beginners, because it includes everything you might need to start out playing the guitar, and all of that comes at a very affordable price tag. With this pack, you will get the Epiphone PR-4E guitar, a gig bag, clip-on tuner, cable, the Epiphone Studio Acoustic-15C amplifier and more.

If you decide to get the PR-4E is a six-string guitar, you will get more than what you pay for. Don’t believe us? What if I tell you that it has mahogany back & sides, and a spruce top?

Not only that, but it also has a 20 fret high-quality rosewood fingerboard and a mahogany neck. There are not many guitars in the market that can offer you all those things for less than $300.

If you’ve read about guitars, you would know that mahogany bodied guitars usually have bright and strong sounds, so if you are a beginner guitar player, this will be a perfect option for you. The only thing i didn’t really like about the guitar is the so-called ‘fret-buzz’ which i noticed when i tried to do some shredding. If you are a beginner, this won’t be a problem for you, since shredding is an advanced playing technique which you will learn further down the road.

The guitar itself has a set of die-cast tuners which can make your job much easier, so this means more playing and less time spent tuning your guitar.

When it comes to the sound, i want to talk about both modes – plugged in & unplugged.

When you get this guitar on your hands, and start playing some chords on it, you will notice that it doesn’t sound anywhere as good as the Gibson you heard at the local guitar store the other day, but then think of the price and compare it to the guitars in that price range. It performs better than most of its direct competitors, and when you plug it in, you will have a general idea of how acoustic guitars usually sound.

With that being said, if you want to get into the world of electric-acoustic guitars, going with the Epiphone PR-4E guitar package can be a great option. It has everything you might need, especially if you’re a beginner. If you don’t like it, you can play it until you learn some more advanced playing techniques, and then look at some of the high-end guitars that are available in your area.

To conclude, i would say that this guitar pack is definitely worth its price, and might be hard to beat at this price point. Because of its size, I would recommend this acoustic guitar to kids and beginners who never played an acoustic guitar before.
