Fender has been one of the most prominent companies in the music industry producing great guitars and excellent iconic amps. It has a pretty wide lineup of amplifiers with different builds and various features and power specs, they are all excellent and provide amazing value.

The champion series has been one of the best solid-state amp series that provide excellent tones and power combined with affordability. If you are looking for a stage-worthy amp you most likely need a lot of power to fill the venue you are playing in. The Fender Champion 100 delivers the might and tones that will please any guitarist regardless of the genre or experience, at the end of this review you will see as to why this is one of the best electric guitar amplifiers on the market.

The Fender Champion 100 is 100-watt amp to house that power it must have a large body measuring 19x26x10.25-inches, but it is pretty light for that chassis weighing just 40-pounds in total. The design of this amp is the traditional Champion design nothing new, however, I am pretty much in love with it. It is covered with a black vinyl case on the sides and top and the front you will find an appealing silver grille cloth with the chrome Fender logo on the top left, pretty classic and beautiful design. No need to change what is not broken right!

This mighty 100 watt powered solid-state amp is equipped with two 12-inch Fender Special Design speakers that output the exact sounds that you play. It can achieve excellent volumes filling medium-sized venues comfortably and maintains the same quality throughout all the volume range. On top of that, you also get a headphone jack if you wish to practice without disturbing anyone with heavy distortion.

This amp features a lot of controls when you look at it, but they are not unnecessary and are extremely easy to use, so no need for confusion. On the left you will find the controls for the clean channel consisting of the volume, treble, bass, effects select and effects level control knob.

Right next to them you will find the same knobs for the drive channel that is activated from a button in the middle of the amp, apart from those aforementioned controls, the drive channel additionally has a gain and middle knob. The effects on this amp consist of the chorus, delay, reverb, flanger, and wah effects all work pretty well and can be controlled via the included footswitch, which was a nice touch of detail.

Despite not having an experimental tonal range you can explore from, the Fender Champion 100 is a no-nonsense amp, plug, and play. However, despite that the tones were excellent for a solid-state amplifier, I was impressed with the cleans that showcased warmness and responsiveness.

The included amp voicing form other Fender classics were perfect and I think this is a great sounding amp for various genres.

For the price of the Fender Champion 100, you can’t get a more stage-worthy amp with tons of power and great speakers.
